About Aum Meditation
Aum meditation is based on the understanding in order to be silent, the mind first needs to get rid of stress and tension. There are 12 stages of this meditation that will take you within yourself. Aum meditation is both active and interactive.
Your co-mediators become mirrors in which you see yourself more clearly. Each stage features a variety of emotional expressions, exercises, dance and encounters. You move from one emotional extreme to another and come to a deep inner silence. You are then ready to meet each other with a loving open heart. The aum creates new friendships and refreshes old friendships, it heals wounds, give energy, gets rid of stress and tension, it heals the mind, body and spirit and gets you in touch with vitality and the power within you. You will experience relaxation and a sense of warmth.
The Aum Meditation is offered by specially trained people because of the intense process. The first stage helps you focus on bringing out your negative emotions, your hate, frustrations, fears, stress and insecurities. The second stage helps you turn your energy around and express your feelings of love toward others, you will feel nourished by expressing love to others and nourished that others expressed love to you. The third stage helps you to feel new physical energy and a light feeling in your body. The fourth stage helps you to loosen all the tension in your body, you feel fresh and revitalized. The fifth stage allows you to express your madness. The sixth stage allows you to dance, let your body move to the music, it is time for celebration. The seventh stage allows you to cry and get out hurtful feeling within yourself, crying helps the brain chemistry to change from depression to feeling good. The eighth stage allows you to laugh, giggle, be soft, gentle and sensitive. The ninth stage allows you to dance sexy, sensitive and sensual with each other or by your self. The tenth stage allows you to stand in a circle, look into the candle and make the sound of AUM, it is the sound of the universe that intregrates your experience of the meditation and you can feel you are one with existence. The eleventh stage is doing nothing but sitting silently. The twelfth stage allows you to go to everyone, look into each others eyes, hold your hands in Indian greeting position, and say, “NAMASTE“ (which means, I recognize and greet the Budda in you), then you hug and meet each one that is in the room.
Even though the process seems long once you learn it and get the hang of practicing it, you will get the full benefits of Aum Meditation.
